What our Customers Say About Our Pet Grooming Services.

To the Groomer and Staff of Naturally for Paws:

Thank you so much for your kindness to my dog, Shelby this past Saturday. I just want to thank you for your patience, concern and care for her because she was rescued from the Humane League she sometimes worries that she will be left behind again. But she trusts the environment you have and you make her feel less anxious, not to mention that she looked clean and beautiful with your help! You do a great job for the animals and their owners in Ventura area.

Warm regards, Alicia and Shelby, Ventura

I brought my dog, Ruby, in on the morning of the fourth of July. I thought the service was excellent. Five days later Ruby is still silky and clean smelling. This is a first for me since the other places I have brought her to still left some of her normal "smell" remaining when I picked her up. In addition, I noticed her teeth were significantly cleaner after her wash. I just wanted to say that this is the best wash and service I have ever received for her and I plan to be a loyal customer.

Thank you very much for the outstanding service.

Regards, S. Thomas, Ventura

Non Anesthetic Teeth Cleaning for your Pets in Ventura, CA.

Non-Anesthetic Teeth Cleaning. Kathy Shafer from Houndstooth spends one day with us on the last Friday of the month. She always books up fast so please call for an appointment. She uses ultrasonic equipment and cleans the teeth for both dogs and cats. Customers can watch while the performs the teeth cleaning on their pets. She charges $85 and up, depending on the condition of the pet’s teeth and gives a special rate if the pet is brought to her monthly.

Why clean your pet’s teeth? Good oral health contributes to good overall general health in animals just as it does in humans. The same blood that flows through the teeth and gums flows through the entire body. If there is an infection in the gums, toxins are carried in the blood throughout the body, slowly poisoning the heart, liver, and kidneys, and all the other organs in the body. Inflammation of the gums causes the gums to recede, creating pockets where more food particles and bacteria can reside. Early symptoms, like bad breath, may not be that obvious. By the time you notice your dog or cat drooling or having trouble eating, the dental disease is already well advanced.

The Story of Laslo the Dog.

Lasolo the Dog

On November 21, 2006, Laslo, a Pomeranian, was picked up by Animal Control in the San Fernando Valley after wandering the streets for many weeks. He was in bad shape with a scurvy skin condition, fleas and completely matted coat. He was coughing and his teeth were in extremely poor shape. He was estimated to be approximately twelve years old. His body was so thin that the bones stuck out. On December 8, 2006, Laslo was to be euthanized. A person from a rescue group went to the shelter and was told that this was Laslo’s last day on earth. The employees were very sorry as they said in spite of the bad shape he was in, he was friendly with both people and other animals. A very kind lady offered to sponsor him and pay his vet bills and so Laslo was taken to a vet in Beverly Hills. He was completely shaved down and most of his teeth were removed. He was a sorry sight when I received an e-mail from the rescue group with his picture. I could not get his little face out of my mind. Several days later I arranged to see him at the vet’s office with the possibility of adopting him, even though I have two other dogs at home – a Pom and a Black Lab mix. Finally, I was handed Laslo. He was completely groggy from the anesthetic they had given him to remove his teeth, shaved down to the scurvy skin and emaciated. He could hardly hold himself up to walk, even after the anesthetic wore off. I was told by several people in the vet’s office that they admired me for taking this poor creature on. But how could I leave him? I knew if anyone could get life back into him it was me! Well armed with different kinds of pills, I took him home. He was fed Great Life kibble and the Enzymes-Pro supplement and each week there was improvement. His fur began to grow and what a beautiful light apricot color it turned out to be. It has been nine months since I picked up my little boy and what a beautiful dog he is. When I take him for walks he becomes the center of attention by all the passers-by and they all want to touch his amazing coat. I have also been giving him the Joint Support supplement "Joint Strong" and the difference in his muscle strength is amazing. He loves to run even at his ripe old age for a Pomeranian.

Dalmation

Pat Hyatt's (the Manager at Naturally for Paws) Dalmatian and he's been on Great Life kibble for seven years. He is 13 years old.
